Andrew Barton S.O.S. Hair Repair Review

Over the past 2 weeks I've been treating my hair to the delights of the new Andrew Barton haircare range 'S.O.S. Hair Repair'. This deeply nourishing range of haircare contains Moroccan Argon Oil and Shea Butter which has worked miracles on my hair.

Alas, I am not a natural blonde anymore -  my hair needs a bit of help in the form of highlights every 2 months (which we all know can dry the hair out). I've found since being a blonde it is a lot trickier for your hair to look glossy, not just because bleach dries the hair out, but also because blonde hair doesn't reflect the light in the same way that chocolate locks do. You lucky brunettes!

Step in Andrew Barton haircare... I've been using the Shampoo and Conditioner that are designed for dry, damaged or fragile hair - I probably fall into all 3 of those categories. I was dubious when first using the shampoo, its a clear consistency and it hardly frothed up at all so I wasn't too sure if my hair would actually be cleaned. I am aware that it is often the cheaper shampoos that lather up... but I've never used a shampoo that didn't lather at all. Thankfully I was proven wrong, my hair was super clean! 

The conditioner? Well... I really liked this too, a creamier and more opaque consistency than the shampoo I found that I could allow the conditioner to really sit on my hair and sink in for a few minutes before rinsing it off. I tend to apply conditioner to the bottom 3/4 of my hair, then exfoliate my body whilst I allow the conditioner to penetrate into my hair. Both the shampoo and the conditioner contain Vitamin E that improves hair vitality, and Soy Proteins which help to protect the hair.

Once I'd towel dried my hair I used a couple of pumps of S.O.S. Hair Repair Miracle Hair Oil - directions are to apply a small amount after shampooing and conditioning and work it through damp hair and style as usual. I also used a little of it after I had dried my hair, I really liked the smell of the product and I found it just made my ponytail look that little bit sleeker!

Overall, I loved these products - I've also got the S.O.S. Treatment Mask to use which I'll be sure to try out after my next colour appointment.

The range is available at ASDA, and I think it is all priced at under £4 - such a bargain for a hair product containing Moroccan oil.
