New for AW13, the Giorgio Armani Fall Face And Eye Palette comes
in a signature glossy black, double-tiered case. Although this product does
come with eye sponges/applicators, I tend to use my own… partly because I’m
awful and lose everything but mostly because I prefer my eyeshadow brushes to
have a longer handle so I can get a bit more precision and I’m not too close to
the mirror but they're very useful for squeezing more into a small make-up bag.
The first layer of this palette contains sheer blush with
micronized particles of Micro-Fil™ technology, designed to give you a subtle
healthy glow but with a matte finish. The second layer contains 3 shimmery
satin eyeshadows. I’ve swatched these in-store, and even though I love it, I’m still a little
undecided whether this palette is the right colour for me. The difficulty I
have is that one of my eyes is blue, and one is green… so what looks great on
my right eye, can really clash with the left and vice versa.
The next thing on my make-up wish list is Dolce & Gabbana Makeup’s Intense
Nail Lacquer Collection, yes, pretty much the entire collection! The Nail Lacquer has been designed to be
slick, and have an easy application with a patent shine that glides
effortlessly on so you don’t get that stripey nail look. The palette focuses on
high pearl and colour intensity offering long-lasting, beaming colour.
Retailing at £18.50 a pop, I think I’ll have to limit myself
to just one or two!
